I’m Alba, a Spanish artist, designer, and creative guide based in Berlin.

I’ve always been drawn to the poetry of the everyday: the way light spills through a window, the rhythmic dance of waves, the quiet choreography of strangers in a city. As a child, I found my safe space in art, between brushes and colors, where the world felt softer, and I felt more alive.

To me, creativity is more than making, more than "knowing how to draw", it’s a way of seeing, feeling, and connecting. My journey has always been about bringing art closer to people, weaving it into daily life, making it something to experience rather than consume.

My
Journey

  • I always wanted to be an artist, so I moved to Bilbao to study Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country. There, I discovered the freedom of interdisciplinary art, experimenting, exploring, and pushing boundaries. A semester in France deepened my fascination with urban aesthetics, and I became obsessed with taking art beyond galleries, bringing it into the streets as a shared, accessible experience. Inspired by Sonia Delaunay, Daniel Buren, and the Basque sculptors, I sought ways to make art outside the canvas and aseptic showrooms.

  • In 2018, I moved to Germany to pursue a MSc in Design Research at the Bauhaus Dessau. Immersed in the Bauhaus philosophy and close to Berlin’s street art culture, I explored co-creation in my research, Perspectives of Walking in Urban Art: Walking as a Tool for Co-Creation in Participatory Urban Art. Inspired by psychogeography and the Situationist movement, I developed methods for artists and communities to collaborate, turning urban aesthetics into a shared experience. Surrounded by classmates from around the world, I came to see creativity as a universal language: one that bridges cultures and disciplines.

  • After graduating, I moved to Berlin and found myself in a 9-to-5 visual design job that, while creative, felt Unfulfilling. I craved something more. Feeling stuck and unable to make decisions, I turned inward: devouring books, exploring personal growth, and searching for ways to reconnect with myself. During this time, I traveled to Guatemala for a volunteer program, empowering women through textile-making. The experience was transformative. I realized my true calling wasn’t just creating, it was helping others tap into their own creativity. Almost magically, Expressive Arts Therapy found me, and I knew I had discovered the missing piece of my puzzle. This approach wove together my love for art with my passion for guiding others in self-discovery and growth. Now, just as art once gave me refuge, I open my atelier as a space for others to explore, express, and reconnect with their own creative voice.

My
Values

  • Beyond career, achievements, the pressures of “success,” there is something deeper: our own well-being. I believe in choosing joy, in prioritizing inner peace, in crafting a life that feels good from the inside out. Creativity is not just a tool for making art; it is a path to happiness, a way to reconnect with what truly matters.

  • Art is not meant to exist in isolation it is a bridge, a conversation, a shared experience. Creativity flourishes when it is exchanged, when stories intertwine, when hands and minds come together. I believe in making art that invites participation, that welcomes others in, that belongs to the people as much as to the artist.

  • The world is open to our senses, we just need to slow down to pay attention. Aesthetics and beauty are not just decoration; it’s a language, a way of feeling and understanding the world we inhabit. I believe in embracing inspiration from the world around us, letting our senses guide us toward wonder, emotion, and meaning.

  • True fulfillment doesn’t lie in perfection or external validation, but in presence: the ability to be here, now, fully immersed in the creative process. Curiosity, play, and experimentation open the door to discovery. I believe in making space for mistakes, for the unexpected, for the joy of simply creating, free from judgment.
